Hello, and welcome to the homepage for the Springfield Township Republican Party of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Springfield was first recognized as a town in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1686 and has continued to grow and prosper for nearly four centuries.
In Springfield, our Republican organization believes in three major things: good government, fiscal responsibility, and creating meaningful change when necessary. We believe that government should work for the people and that all officials should be transparent, honest, and accountable. We are committed to fiscal responsibility, and to meeting the needs of those in our community without high taxes. We are also always looking toward the future, and how we can continue to grow and expand Springfield, to make sure everyone’s voice is heard, and everyone has a seat at the table.
Much of politics today has become more focused on what is said, not what is done, and bipartisanship seems to be almost non-existent. Here in Springfield, we believe in staying positive and building each other up to better our community, rather than tearing people down with accusations and insults that result in nothing but division. Whether on the campaign trail or in the meeting room, we believe in keeping our message positive and discussing the ways we have improved Springfield, and how it can be further improved, rather than resorting to personal attacks or mud-slinging.
As former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said, “every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.” Here in Springfield, we seek to be a community of people that work together to achieve success. Our local Republican elected officials are concerned with helping better the community and continue keeping Springfield a great place to be, not using their position as a podium for attacks and bullying.
In closing, Springfield is a great place to live, work, and raise a family in. We have a dedicated team that works hard to make sure the township works for everyone, and we have a great local community filled with understanding and appreciation for all. I hope that you will consider spending time in our great town, and I hope you will learn more about the Springfield Republican Party, and even consider joining us in our mission to make sure Springfield remains a positive, welcoming, and efficiently-run township.
Sincerely,
Michael V. Puppio, Jr.
Chairman, Springfield Republican Party
